Students who received Reading Corps tutoring demonstrated growth in phonics, reading fluency, and oral reading fluency scores that were equivalent to an extra 50%-90% of a year of schooling.

 Our programs provide a good value for schools by providing hundred of hours of support for the students and staff. Southwardome locations pay a site fee.

Full Learning Classroom Initiative

Minnesota has some of the largest education disparities in the nation. TLC, an initiative of Reading Corps, is working to change this. As office of TLC, AmeriCorps members called "Scholar Coaches" serve at schools with high bookish needs. Embedded in G-3 classrooms, they provide additional chapters and partner with a licensed instructor to help students become ameliorate readers, engage families in learning, and promote systems change.

Serving as a Scholar Coach is swell preparation for graduate programs and careers in didactics and public service. Members receive excellent grooming and are role of a squad of Scholar Coaches at their school.
